Hsing Competition
Students in periods 2-5 are currently competing against each other in a simulation of ancient China. Each student belongs to a hsing (based on a Chinese dynasty) and has a specific role in their hsing to fulfill. They will earn daily participation points, so encourage your child to come to school! I have been lecturing on the two topics of slavery for the past few days. Students were surprised to hear that Africans had slaes well before the European arrival in the 15th century. After discussing the differences, students then had the opportunity to complete a wequest created by PBS. Check it out
