Many artists were hired to create mosaics throughout the Eastern Roman Empire (a.k.a. the Byzantine Empire). Students were assigned the role of a mosaic artist. Take a look at some of their creations!

Week #2
Posted by: kverardo | September 2, 2009 | No Comment |We are off and running! This week students have turned in all of the beginning of the years forms. A computer contract and parent letter were given out to student s to read, sign and return with a parent/guardian signature. Students also began using their I.S.N. (Interactive Student Notebook). This notebook is broken up into chapters and graded every 3-4 weeks.

2009-2010 School Year Begins
Posted by: kverardo | August 25, 2009 | No Comment |Welcome back to school! After a few months of sleeping in, running, reading, and playing soccer it is now time for me to start teaching. I am excited about this new school year. I have a ton of ideas for new projects, group assignments and presentations (ok, yes even a few tests and quizes). It’s going to be a great year in Social Studies!
